The extra sponsorship money added by Jayhawk Millwright for this event after being excepted by ASMS has now been excluded by Ray Boyles. The 1000cc D-2 cars are good enough for field fillers but not good enough for sponsorship money. July 1st there is a Poweri D-2 race at Chandler IN and then the next night there is a D-2 USAC / IMRA race at Spoon River speedway in Canton IL. This would be my recommendation of races to attend. Their is no incentive to run against national motors with ASMS with a under powered D-2.

Central Missouri Speedway will be hosting their Annual July 4th holiday double header race weekend of activities coming up 7/2 and 7/3. The AllStar Midgets will be there guest class on July 2nd

Jayhawk Millwright will be adding extra money to the 1000cc D-2 cars only. If you conform to the current Poweri / USAC 1000cc D-2 rules you will be illegible for an extra payout of $150 for the top placing 1000cc D-2, $100 for the next highest 1000cc D-2 and $50 for the third highest finishing 1000cc D-2 car. This is NOT a D-2 race this is an AllStar Midget race so any and all midgets are welcome to this event. Again in order to be illegible for the extra payout being provided by Jayhawk Millwright you have to be a 1000cc D-2 car. Otherwise standard payout will apply to your car.

If you have any questions concerning legality of your 1000cc D-2 car please contact myself at mbillingsracing@gmail.com or Phil Heavelow at jmillwright@kc.rr.com .  If you have questions concerning Central Missouri Speedway please visit their website at http://www.centralmissourispeedway.net/

Things are shaping up for the inaugural Lightning Sprint National Open over Labor Day Weekend. Nice Promotional video put together at our first race in 2013 that explains the motivations of putting Mid-America Lightning Sprints together. We combined our efforts with Midwest Lightning Sprints in 2015 in hopes of bringing Lightning Sprints back to its place in the racing community. We have decided this is not what is best for lightning sprints in Mid-America.

Stay tuned for news concerning Mid-America Lightning sprints in the coming weeks.
