Unfortunately for Mid-America Lightning Sprint Presented by
Jayhawk Millwright racers the Double Header weekend on May 3rd and 4th
was postponed due to weather. We are very lucky to have a great track
owner at Atchison County Raceway, Phil Birkinsha who is willing to support
lightning sprint cars and give us another date rather than cancelling the
Spring Fling race. The makeup date is Aug. 3rd .The new name for
this event is the Boarder Showdown! This sets up another Double header weekend
for Midwest Lightning Sprints and Mid-America Lightning Sprints. Mid-West
Lightning Sprints will be at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley Missouri on Aug. 2nd
and Mid-America Lightning Sprint Presented by Jayhawk Millwright will be at
Atchison County Raceway in Atchison KS Aug, 3rd. MLS will pay the
Jayhawk Millwright $500 to win provided you race the next night with
Mid-America Lightning Sprint Presented by Jayhawk Millwright which is
Guaranteed $650 to win.

by Jayhawk Millwright racers is that we have another Double Header Weekend
coming up. Our next event is at Double-X speedway in California MO. on May 26th
This event dubbed Veterans Salute is on Memorial weekend as the name suggest. It is also the Liquid Powder Coat Finishes of
Kansas City pre race BBQ for all of the drivers and crew of the Mid-America
Lightning Sprint Presented by Jayhawk Millwright series. The BBQ starts at 3pm;
all you have to bring is yourself! Plus
this is Jesse Hockett night at Double-X speedway. Mid-America Lightning Sprint Presented by
Jayhawk Millwright race car will be supporting ASCS 360 winged Warrior sprint
cars, Street Stock and Hobby Stock race cars. Double-X speedway is always
action packed and Jesse Hockett fans will be out to show their support for all
cars this night. Mid-America Lightning Sprint Presented by Jayhawk Millwright
is expecting drivers from CO/ WI/IL/MO/KS/NEB/IA to come show their support for
this fast growing series. Local drivers expected to make their debut are Ryan
Kent - Kent Transportation, Zach Morehead - the cornershop.com, Frank Ikerd -
Advanced Orthotics & Prosthetics, Kenny Billings in his new BLS / Liquid
Powder Coat Finishes of Kansas City chassis, Jim Devore - Devore Concrete, Bob
Douglas – Rod End Supply & Tom Brown in his new warrior chassis. Mid-West
Lightning Sprints will be at I-35 Speedway the night before on May 25th.
This high banked 3/8 mile track is always fast and exciting side by side
racing.
As with all Mid-America Lightning Sprints Presented by
Jayhawk Millwright races we offer any driver that is more than 500 miles tow
one way from any of our races $100 in tow money, provided you make the feature.
As of May 13th we have 4 CO drivers that are planning on running
Double-X speedway and have reserved there $100 tow money. We have now expanded
this incentive to include people who live at least 250 miles tow one way from
any of our races. This incentive will pay $50. Both are limited to the first
five drivers each. You must
preregister with me at mbillingsracing@gmail.com to insure your spot.
Just a reminder the pill draw closes at the tracks drivers
meeting. Fail to draw a pill by this point will result in a starting position
