One of the biggest events at Central Missouri Speedway each year is the Annual Kid’s Night at the Races coming up Aug. 2nd. Kids ages 12 and under will make their way onto the track to compete in foot races with prizes going to each division winner. Every child 12 and under will receive a goodie bag stuffed with various items including school supplies, candy, and other race-related trinkets, they will also receive a free drink and hot dog.

Mid-America Lightning Sprints presented by Jayhawk Millwright is proud to be a part of such a great event and to show our support MALS racers have donated two new bikes to be given out. Also a big thanks to Kent Transportation and Liquid and PowderCoat finishes of Kansas City for donating t-shirts, stickers and koozie cups to be given out.

CMS is also requesting donations for this event including school supplies, race-related small items such as pictures, hero cards, etc, or other kid-related items or cash. All cash donations will go towards the purchase of school supplies. All leftover supplies will be delivered to kids in need. Donations may be dropped off at the track on any Saturday up to event night at the pit-side office. CMS is also asking for clothing donations for both adults and children to be given to area homeless shelters.
