I would like to thank all the racers, crew and
fans that have attended one of the Mid America Lightning Sprints Presented by
Jayhawk Millwright races thus far. Mid America Lightning Sprints Presented by
Jayhawk Millwright has paid out in Cash $6335 after only two races. Making this
the best paying lightning sprint series in the nation! We should be very proud
as lightning sprint drivers that not only do we have this opportunity to run
for great money but also build our sport. Both tracks that we have raced at
this season, L.A. Raceway and Double-X speedway have been very pleased with our
car count, show and over all professionalism of all of our drivers and crew. I
personally have been in contact with three new drivers either looking for cars
or getting cars ready to race. This is what we need for our sport to grow.

Mid America Lightning Sprints
Presented by Jayhawk Millwright has something very special coming up for our
next event. Our next event is the Mid America Lightning Sprints Presented by
Jayhawk Millwright Summer Nationals at Nevada Speedway in Nevada MO. on June
29th. Thanks to several of the MALS racers we have purchased two kids bikes,
one boys and one girl’s. These bikes will be given away after our feature event
at Nevada Speedway by the MALS feature winning driver. The track will also have several things that
they will be giving out throughout the night to aid in promoting our SUMMER
NATIONALS. After intermission and before the feature the Mid America Lightning
Sprints Presented by Jayhawk Millwright cars will be lined up on the front
stretch for the entire fans to see and get autographs from the drivers. The track
announcer will come down and let you introduce yourself and thank any sponsors
you have over the P.A.

Finishes of Kansas City is hosting another pre race BBQ. The track will let
MALS drivers and crew in early and positions us all together to make this a
good old fashion get together. But this is not the only thing going on this
weekend. Thanks to Jayhawk Millwright the Midwest Lightning Sprint race the
night before will pay $500 to win, if you participate in both events for the
weekend. So that is $500 to win on Friday night at Valley Speedway in Grain
Valley MO. Then it is guaranteed $650 to win the next night at Nevada Speedway
in Nevada Missouri.
Not only is June 28/29th
a double header weekend for MLS / MALS but then the following Holiday weekend on
July 5th Mid America Lightning Sprints Presented by Jayhawk
Millwright is back at Double-X speedway for another support show for the ASCS
360 Winged Sprint Cars. If you missed the first show at Double-X Speedway on
May 26th you missed great racing with all the drivers considering
Double-X speedway a great track for our cars! When the track announced that Mid
America Lightning Sprints Presented by Jayhawk Millwright would be back on July
5th there was a cheer from the grand stands!!! Grand stands that were absolutely sold out.
Just as a reminder that Mid-America
Lightning Sprints Presented by Jayhawk Millwright races we offer any driver
that is more than 500 miles tow one way from any of our races $100 in tow
money, provided you make the feature. We also expanded this incentive to
include people who live at least 250 miles tow one way from any of our races.
This incentive will pay $50. Both are limited to the first five drivers each. You
must preregister with me at mbillingsracing@gmail.com
to insure your spot.
Also remember the pill draw
closes at the MALS drivers meeting. Fail to draw a pill by this point will
result in a starting position of tail back in your heat race. For more information
